Chillicothe City Schools honors Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We hope you will all reflect on his messages of peace and equality throughout his life. 💙 Martin Luther King Jr. was a prominent civil rights leader and minister who advocated for racial equality through nonviolent resistance. Born in 1929, he became the face of the American civil rights movement, delivering his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech in 1963. King’s tireless efforts led to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Tragically, he was assassinated in 1968, but his legacy continues to inspire generations worldwide. #mlkjrday
